When Hugh Hughes returned to his childhood home in Llangefni to help his mum move house, a tapestry of memories from his past began to unfold.
Now they burst out of cyberspace as unpredictable and hilarious evenings of family stories. Join Hugh and his brother and sister as the family skeletons fall out of the closet. Due to the improvised nature of the show, no two performances are the same: the Hughes family will tell their stories for as long as you want to listen.
The playful, theatrical and funny Hoipolloi has previously staged three award-winning Hugh Hughes shows at the Barbican: 360, Floating and Story of a Rabbit. The radio adaptation of Floating earned him the BBC Audio Drama Award for Best Scripted Comedy Drama earlier this year.
'Hughes's humour, charm and hilarious stories are a joy to listen to' The Daily Telegraph on 360
'You’d be hard-pressed to find a more instantly friendly performer. An enormously endearing creation' Times
