Things aren't going to plan for one family in Withernsea.

Pieces are falling off Martin’s milk float as quickly as he’s losing customers and something’s up with Kath’s kitchen sink. Billy is pinning his hopes of a place at art college on a revealing portrait of Dolly Parton, whilst Sophie’s dreams of becoming a Jiu-Jitsu teacher might be disappearing down the plug hole.

And amid the dreaming, dramas and dirty dishes, something has to give. But will it be Kath or the kitchen sink?

Bush Theatre [Fringe,Off West End]

The Bush itself is closed for refurbishment, but continues to programme shows locally.

Some very watchable actors, especially Ryan Sampson and Andy Rush - and plenty of amusing lines. Not much new ground was broken plotwise, and personally I was less moved than I have been by other Bush shows- maybe this is a consequence of the in-the-round staging which makes it harder to get immersed in a production, because you can always see the audience across the way staring back at you.
