“Gets right into the psychology and the physicality of squaddie life... a regimented choreography of precise gestures. ”

Matt Trueman (What's On Stage, Time Out)

“Highly sympathetic and largely authentic... Some of the pity of war is muted by the beauty of the staging... Desperately moving”

Aleks Sierz (Arts Desk, The Stage)

“Cumulatively devastating... Immaculately staged and performed... Spare, fluid, dream-like... Not to be missed. ”

Paul Taylor (The Independent)

“Verse drama which, even if it tells us nothing new, does so with elegance and poignancy... The Bechdel Test would not be passed.”

Fiona Mountford (Evening Standard)

“Both upsetting and poetic... A gutpunch of a show... Relentless and pounding but also desperately tender... A little contrived. ”

Andrzej Lukowski (Time Out)

“Artfully scripted, cleverly staged poem play... Strong elements of well-drilled dance... Dunster is perfect. ”

Quentin Letts (Daily Mail)
