Be it on film, on stage, or in people’s living rooms every Sunday evening, Judy Garland was, and continues to be, one of the brightest stars of the golden age of Hollywood, but as conflicted as she was celebrated.
This new play goes beyond the rainbow and explores the life of a woman destined for greatness; a woman who is as loved today as she was when she made her way along the yellow brick road.
Featuring Garland standards performed live by a cast of twelve.
Last seen at the Southwark Playhouse after a premiere at London Theatre Workshop in December 2015 (As 'Through the Mill'). Helen Sheals, Belinda Wollaston and Lucy Penrose reprise their roles as Judy at various stages in her life.

“Smart... needs all three actresses to be up to it, and they are. Penrose plays 'young Judy', a piece of dream casting... Wizard.”
“Walks a fine line: it doesn’t shrink from Garland’s addiction or the abuse and exploitation... Yet it’s equally a tribute. ”
