A picnic interrupted by soldiers. Never-ending queues. Sunbathing in the shadow of a tank. How do people manage when every day is the same?

An epic snapshot of life in Palestine, then and now, draws on stories from family and friends’ lives to paint this alternative picture – one rarely glimpsed in mainstream media and told with typical Palestinian black humour.

Six actors in the UK – and one in Palestine – will take you on a whistle-stop tour through space and time, from 1948 to the present day.

“Khalil’s sketches from Palestine are wickedly funny and heartbreaking. ”

The Stage (Other reviewers)

“A powerful yet tender collection of everyday vignetttes... a deeply compassionate play, performed with real heart and humour. ”

Miriam Gillinson (Arts Desk, Time Out)

“White’s elegantly economical direction allows the playlets of Khalil’s drama to unfold with transparent economy... Thoughtful. ”

Jane Shilling (Telegraph)

“Several of the cast are strong in some roles, but distractingly weak in others. ”

Jo Caird (The Stage, What's On Stage)
