“Superlative performances... Captivating production... A charming night out... The musical of the year.”

What's on Stage (Other reviewers)

“Fellowes’s clever overhaul of the book that was one unsatisfactory feature... cuts a simpler path through HG Wells’s 1905 novel.”

Dominic Cavendish (The Telegraph)

“Refreshed and rebooted... Now a work of vibrant beauty, with new songs and energy... sweeping away the cobwebs of nostalgia.”

Neil Norman (Express, The Stage)

“Stemp brings to mind a young Michael Crawford... His winningly energetic and charming performance is a thing of wonder.”

West End Whingers

“Old-fashioned perhaps but newly minted here... The dancing is extraordinarily good... Flash, bang and double wallop.”

Ann Treneman (Times)

“Stemp justifies and then some, the fuss being made about him... unforced and genuinely buoyant charm.”
