You know as well as I do: no-one outfoxes a fox!

Boggis, Bunce and Bean, three greedy, smelly, horrid farmers hate the cunning Mr Fox. Mr Fox is smart, clever and rather fantastic, but he doesn’t realise how determined the farmers are.

Can he hatch a plan to save his family and friends? Can they outrun the diggers and outsmart the farmers? And can Rabbit shut up long enough not to give the game away?

This family-friendly tale of greed, pride and the power of friendship is the flagship production for the Roald Dahl 100 celebrations.

Back by popular demand.

Lyric Hammersmith [Off West End]

“Colourful, occasionally chaotic... Intensive farming practices and UKIP attitudes cast a chilly shadow... Beguiling cheek.”

Sam Marlowe (The Times, The Stage, Time Out, Arts Desk)

“Both charming and abrasive... Holcroft’s adaptation has pace, Darvill’s rocking score has rhythm, Aberg’s direction has wit.”

Other newspaper reviewers

“Mischievous... Fleet-footed... Crowd-pleaser that delivers jaunty entertainment... Aberg creates an air of subversive freshness.”

Henry Hitchings (Evening Standard)

“Colourful... Great fun – full of gusto and glee, not afraid of playing up to the author's penchant for the gruesome.”

Paul Taylor (The Independent)

“Anarchic spirit... Great songs and vibrant characters... a great performance of inflated machismo by Barnett... Good clean fun.”

Neil Norman (Express, The Stage)

“Dahl's novella has blossomed into a sharp political satire for our times... Atwill's Bean is particularly chilling... Episodic.”

Matt Trueman (What's On Stage, Time Out)

“Enjoyable, if uneven, musical adaptation... The not-quite-fantastic end result doesn’t reflect the excellent team behind it.”

Tim Bano (The Stage, Time Out)

“Sharply witty new adaptation... turns Dahl’s whisker–thin tale... into a classic tale of hubris... Barnett’s ultra-smooth.”

Claire Allfree (Telegraph)

“There is always plenty to enjoy in two hours laced with jaunty songs by the multi-talented Darvill... The cast are brilliant.”

Lyn Gardner (The Guardian)

“While the staging is consistently enjoyable it is not quite as sharp as its foxy hero might desire... A neat political twist. ”

Sarah Hemming (Financial Times)

“A sort of panto-lite adaptation... Raucous, but in a fairly cosy way... Pretty charming... Fun but restrained.”

Andrzej Lukowski (Time Out)
