Masked and costumed like an outlandish doll, Euripides Laskaridis takes care of the chores in a makeshift room with sublime insouciance and surreal glamour.

Conjuring magic from mundane materials in a strikingly eccentric solo piece with echoes of cabaret, slapstick and vaudeville, he is at once entertaining and tragic. Grappling with ideas of transformation and ridicule, he tests our acceptance of the incongruous and unfamiliar to the limit.

“Short and mighty strange... expression of our essential, existential selves... Isn't as uncomfortable a watch as it needs to be.”

Matt Trueman (What's On Stage, Time Out)

“Borrows from the gaudiness of burlesque but morphs into something sadder and more tarnished... Unexpectedly affecting.”

Lyn Gardner (The Guardian)

“A cartoon quality... Clownish energy... A surreally funny show that gets stuck in its own track

.”

Tom Wicker (Time Out, The Stage, Telegraph)
