“This intricately dazzling production goes so much further than its familiar and alluring premise... Theatrical gold.”

Adam Bloodworth (Metro)

“Sweetly enticing, whatever your age, in this revival by Jonathan O’Boyle... It’s hard to resist joining in the dancing.”

Lyn Gardner (The Guardian)

“Hallucinatory musical that offers a legal high in this terrific revival.”

Mark Shenton (The Stage, London Theatre, Express)

“Seems a period piece. Yet it’s still a joyous experience, infused with the chaotic spirit of the Sixties.”

The Stage (Other reviewers)

“Leans so heavily into nostalgia, you can barely see for the bandanas and hair. The show’s original spikiness has been softened.”

Tom Wicker (Time Out, The Stage, Telegraph)

“Doesn't really do anything particularly new... Chaotic but undeniably powerful... Builds up a head of urgent dramatic steam.”

Alun Hood (What's On Stage)

“Seems a period piece. Yet it’s still a joyous experience, infused with the chaotic spirit of the Sixties.”

Henry Hitchings (Evening Standard)

“Energetic but toothless revival of a musical museum piece.”

Neil Norman (Express, The Stage)

“A small-scale production that punches well above its weight... A cast of 14 feels masses bigger, and they’re top quality.”

Holly Williams (What's On Stage, Time Out, Independent)
