On a rainy Tuesday night in a room above the Aberfan Hotel, eight months following the death of 116 children during the Aberfan Disaster of 1966, a group of bereaved mothers meet as they do every week to talk, cry and even laugh without feeling guilty.

Afraid that people would think them frivolous, they have secretly arranged for a representative from Revlon to come and give them a talk on beauty tips.

Based on a true story.

“Moving story told with emotional clarity and down-to-earth humour... Some finely nuanced performances.”

Paul Vale (The Stage)

“A powerful snapshot of grief... Docking succeeds by, somehow, mixing the tragedy of the event with very real humour.”

What's on Stage (Other reviewers)

“A remarkably warm, sorrowful, and times funny drama about survivors, small-town bickering and make-up.”

Joe Vesey-Byrne (Independent)
